Edmund Sprunger Masterclass
The Suzuki Association of Indiana is sponsoring a day-long workshop with Suzuki teacher, author, and child pyschologist Edmund Sprunger, open to all parents and teachers. As a feature of the workshop, there will be a masterclass in the afternoon for up to four students to perform and get feedback from Mr. Sprunger on theirĀ practicing techniques. In the masterclass, students should plan to play a work they are currently preparing for their next performance.

Up to four students on violin, viola, or piano will be chosen for the masterclass with Edmund Sprunger. Students of SAI teacher members are eligible to apply and send a video audition, with a limit of 2 student applications per teacher. Applicants will be chosen from a range of experience levels, based on the theme of the workshop.

Video Submission Guidelines
- Video should be between 2-3 minutes in length
- Piece selection can be an entire piece/etude or excerpt from a piece as long as it does not exceed 3 minutes. The picture should remain stationary without panning, fade-in/out, close-up techniques or use of multiple cameras.
- Upload the video to YouTube. Set the security setting to Unlisted.
- Deadline for masterclass application and video submission is October 5, 2018
Masterclass Fee
Students accepted for the masterclass will be notified by October 15. Masterclass participants will pay a separate $25 fee for the class, with no additional charge for parents who observe the masterclass only. Please contact Emilie Grondin if you have any questions about your application.
